Miniature Horse
Standing at a height of about 2.5 to 3 feet at her back, Minnie is a real favorite among the youngest of Black Pine's visitors. This novelty breed of horse is sometimes seen competing in horse-drawn vehicle competitions on a miniature scale. Prior to Minnie joining the population of Black Pine's animal residents, she was thoroughly checked by veterinarians at Purdue University. After a clean bill of health with note of an expected normal lifespan of up to 30 years, she joined the menagerie in the field at the park. To learn more about miniature horses, click here. |
The Animals
'Minnie'
is not just a miniature horse, she is a dwarf miniature
horse. This means she is even smaller than the average of these
domestically bred small equine.
