Exotics as Pets

Messy pet!One of the most important things Black Pine can teach you is that it can be a horrible mistake to try to keep an exotic animal as a pet, both for the animal and the humans around it.  Exotic animals often have extreme behaviors, and environmental and dietary requirements that make them difficult and sometimes dangerous to keep as pets.  You can read our stories about what it might be like to keep an exotic animal as a pet by clicking here.

I Want a Tiger Storybook

Personalized "I Want a Tiger" storybook!

Younger students may enjoy this adventure, too!  You can customize this wonderful storybook, made possible by the creative work of our friend Loraine at BillyBear4Kids.com.

Sponsorship Kits

Classroom Sponsorships

Consider an engaging lesson in philanthropy and community giving!  Your classroom can make a significant impact on the lives of Black Pine's animal residents by taking on a classroom project to collect money or "wish list" items.  Here are some great ideas, or come up with your own!

With money collected your class can request a classroom Adopt-an-Animal kit and enjoy knowing your efforts are helping the animal of your choice, and others living at the sanctuary!  100% of the adoption fee directly benefits the animal!  Please allow 3-4 weeks for kit to be mailed to classroom.
