Black Pine Animal Sanctuary
is located centrally between Chicago, Detroit, Cleveland, and
Indianapolis. Albion, Indiana is the county
seat of Noble County in the northeastern portion of the state.
Once in
Albion, the site is located due west of the stoplight at the
intersection of state roads 8 and 9 about one mile. Follow W. Main
Street / C.R. 300 N. (This street continues west where State Road
8 ends at the stoplight.) The entrance will be on the right
hand side (north side). Turn into the gravel drive and continue
straight, past the first building (4-H pavilion), over the ditch.
Once across the ditch follow the road to the right that will lead to the
parking lot.
From
Fort Wayne:
Two
options: 1) Take
S.R. 3 (Lima Road) north to SR 8 West (follow signs to
"Albion"). Continue straight through stoplight to sanctuary,
located 1.5 miles west of stoplight on right-hand side. 2) Take highway 33 north to S.R. 9 north,
to Albion. Turn left (west) at the stoplight onto W. Main Street / C.R. 300
N.
From
South Bend/Elkhart:
Take
highway 31 or 33 south to U.S. 6 east. Follow 6 east to S.R. 9
south. Proceed south on 9 to Albion. Turn right (west) at
the stoplight onto W. Main Street / C.R. 300 N.
From
Angola:
Take
interstate 69 south to U.S. 6 west. Proceed on 6 west to S.R. 9
south. Proceed on 9 south to Albion. Turn right (west) at
the stoplight onto W. Main Street / C.R. 300 N.
From
Warsaw:
Take
highway 30 east to S.R. 9 north. Proceed on 9 north to
Albion. Turn left at the stoplight onto W. Main Street / C.R. 300
N.
